We recently designed CD package design for Dave Douglas, jazz trumpeter and composer, described by some as the most widely revered progressive jazz musician to appear in the past 20 years. A recent review states “Dave Douglas has achieved many deserved accolades, accomplishing what some may have deemed ambitious and lofty goals as a performer, composer, and arranger. A Single Sky represents yet another checkmark from the “to do” list, his first original modern jazz orchestra effort in conjunction with the Frankfurt Radio Bigband.” 4 out of 5 stars.

“100,000 ways to harvest hope”, what a great title to design an album around. We just finished this one up with Dublin-raised/New York-based four-piece rock act Stand. These guys are the real deal and work hard to get their great songs heard, we’re honored to help with this project.  The band’s website states “All are songs of hope and optimism during a dark era of life as our generation has known it so far.” We hope our design helps in whatever way to get these great songs to folks that could use some healing…and love good rock and roll!

Coming in at over 100 pages, our first book showcases lots of poster designs and prints, along with a skate deck section and some music packaging we’ve helped produce. It’s a nice quick read too, perfect for fireside evening “reading”. VERY limited quantities for now, we hope to produce more in the near future. Welcome to 2010, more fun stuff to come, stay tuned!

We just finished a really fun project with The Honeydogs, a great band out of Minneapolis. They just released their new EP “Sunshine Committee”, and we were fortunate enough to help create all the design for the limited release. (Band biography here)

The creative process was a fun collaboration with the band’s singer/songwriter, Adam Levy. The various designs we presented were eventually narrowed down, so that the focus of the vibe that this release needed to communicate came through loud and clear.
