Process for “Smart Satchmo” art.

DogsSchoolProcess

Here’s some of the process for our “Smart Satchmo” series we did for the upcoming “Dogs In School” show in Portland, OR. It had been a LONG time since working in this medium, but the print came out great. To see the finished work and design, please see the previous post from last week, which includes the addition of the glasses she’s wearing. To learn more about the show and the story that inspired it, check out the site here: Dogs In School.com

The gallery in Portland hosting the show can be found here: Screaming Sky.com

P.S. Woof, woof!

“Dogs In School” Art Show!

DogsSchool

Two years in the making, “Dogs In School” art show is at hand (or paw). We are very excited that this art show is finally upon us!

It’s a really great idea inspired by the curator’s personal experience from growing up in a creative household, and his desire to thank his parents for all they provided in life, from creative inspiration to being great parents. Make sure to read the “about” section here (dogsinschool.com) We’ve been involved since 2008 as this very personal project starting taking shape. More sneak peaks and process photos coming soon…shown above is our entry “Smart Satchmo”, an original linocut illustration and print.

The gallery hosting the event is the Screaming Sky Gallery in Portland, OR. Link here: http://www.screamingskygallery.com/

Book ‘em Danno – Our First Book!

GAC.Book

Coming in at over 100 pages, our first book showcases lots of poster designs and prints, along with a skate deck section and some music packaging we’ve helped produce. It’s a nice quick read too, perfect for fireside evening “reading”. VERY limited quantities for now, we hope to produce more in the near future. Welcome to 2010, more fun stuff to come, stay tuned!
