The fine folks over at Wilco HQ just added a very cool feature to the band’s ever expanding website: A brand new POSTER DESIGN GALLERY! Click here to check out over 100 original poster designs from a very wide variety of artists and designers.
WILCO POSTER GALLERY
We’re fortunate enough to have had the privilege of working with Wilco and their great management team the last two years. Get a Clue Design has over 16 posters in the gallery, hopefully many more to come…
Enjoy the artwork and by all means, buy some.

What a great band name, right? These guys play some pretty unique music, some describe it as “drone-based ambient music”. According to one of the founding members, the band’s name refers to “your own personal cinema, located between your eye and eyelid”, suggesting the colors and patterns one can see with closed eyes.
We had actually designed a previous SOTL poster last year (see it here), so we wanted to try something different. The style of music they play, along with the imagery of a half-closed eye lid shape (where the band name is) may lead one to wonder…”Is that guy sleeping?…dreaming?…falling?…is he falling in his own dream?
What do you think?
What we do know is that Nick @ The Half & Half printed a beaut, grey ink overlays and all! Thanks Nick!

We just finished this new poster design/print for the band Minus the Bear. The design includes a large cropped halftone photo of my sister-in-law, used with her very kind permission.
The silver was run as a metallic and looks great in person (thanks Nick at The Half and Half!). Black ink overprints nicely. Paper is a nice thick creamy stock.
Available soon! Check the poster’s page at Gigposters.com here.

We were very excited to be asked to help the band Everest with some of their merchandising design recently. Everest is touring with Neil Young, Wilco and Death Cab for Cutie through December. Yeah, pretty good company right? Everest singer, guitarist, and chief songwriter Russell Pollard, along with Everest’s management, contacted us to help create a T-shirt to help promote the tour and this most talented group of musicians.
The band is an amalgam of musical creativity and instrumental talent from a number of SoCal bands, such as Sebadoh, Earlimart, the Folk Implosion and The Watson Twins. Their latest is called “Ghost Notes” and is available wherever great music is sold.
The band’s site can be found here: http://everestband.com/
Here’s a close-up of the design.

We wish the best to this very talented group of guys!
